It's true. I am a big fan of ethernet.
Cables are always better when stationary
Cables are better but "cracking WPA2 in a few hours" is extremely misleading.

If I make my WPA2 password '#@2rjoergoqj3rfowewWEFDWEjdfoqnowe2ew$^$' it would take thousands of years to crack.

Don't forget that Wifi is sharing the medium (frequency spectrum) with every other Wifi networks that are in-range.

Even the best equipment will perform poorly in very congested areas.

Cable is ALWAYS a better choice. Cable to each desk, connected to a docking station. Fast, stable, no nonsense.
