If we are in a simulation, will people get less computing power as the world population grows (and if the total computing power does not grow accordingly) or is it on-demand and it depends with how many individuals you interact with ?

We are not in a simulation, but if hypothetically we were, any answer would be equally conceivable, since they're all hypotheticals with no concrete basis on reality.

Perhaps the simulation rate gets slower as the simulation gets more complex instead.
