I would consider it if it were not horrendous.
Interesting point — most modern smartphones are iPhone clones (i.e. mostly screen), which means there's not much hardware design to like or dislike. Compared to how much design surface-area there was to get right or wrong back when there was some diversity in the market.

I'd take diversity and design mis-steps over monoculture. Especially if it gives me a hardware keyboard.

The Blackberry Passport and the Key series were pretty good, with little design noise around the phone.
My Passport's design always drew comment (I loved it)
I will probably get this when it becomes available. Especially if it has an unlocked bootloader.
The Jelly 2 supports GSI and Unihertz tends to use the same electronics in different shells, so this is highly likely to also support GSI.
