The actual depiction of this statement won't become clearly visible in our daily lives for the next decade at least.

Is "moonshot" the new hotness? To me, saying "moonshot" is not a positive thing. It implies putting a lot of money and political will behind a symbolic effort with science and real benefits tagging along for the ride, and once the goal is accomplished, nobody cares and the ability to even it do is lost in a generation.
