Original idea credit goes to HN user aparks517. He made https://phasedust.com and posted to HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26328399

I loved it, but wanted a little more control – theme/style, tags, disable the site, custom domain (paid feature), etc. – so I built it.

I just started to restore an old Boston Whaler, which I want to document as much as possible and make publicly available. Based on past experience, I know I will start strong and then get lazy about taking pictures and posting details. By making it as easy as never leaving my phone and just sending texts, I hope to be consistent.

I'd vastly prefer an app for this. Any plans ?
Hmm. Frankly, no. The idea is to remove as many layers of complexity as possible. Presumably, you already have a phone number and messaging app that you use all of the time. No app downloads, registration or other configuration required.

Definitely not for everyone. But I find myself failing at maintaining a writing/blogging habit too often. I couldn't think of anything simpler.

While the original idea is great, it super plan (as it should be). I actually been in touch with the phasedust dev suggesting to add a few built-in commands. I suggested to Aparks517 to build in, at least, a delete last post command because of my such bad typo/grammar as often as I do. I hope you will at least consider that to get people like me to use the service.

I will certainly try your service and test out the customization. Props to you taking this wonderful original idea and expanding on it and building in your own customizing commands.

Delete last is an excellent idea. I will prioritize that! Thanks for the feedback and trying it out.
Feature is live. Text delete:last to the service's number and the most recent post will be deleted.

This can continue to be done and will delete the most recent chronological post.

Thanks again for the feedback!
