I wish I had a glorious comeback story about how I got fired and then got a job at Google making $500k/year and completely disrupted the tech industry with my insane coding ability and work ethic. In reality at first I was happy that my suffering at the previous job was over, but later on it crushed my confidence and caused me to be very depressed for a very long time. I took a massive pay cut because I was desperate for any dev job but couldn't clear any of the interviews with companies that paid a decent salary. I still dread getting fired (again) every single day at work, even if there's no indication that I'm doing a bad job. I'd like to believe one day I'll fix my mental problems and come back here to write that glorious comeback story.
