This is an interesting article, but when I saw the title I thought it was going to be about stromatolites, which I believe are the earliest forms of life that are still alive today. And which are quite interesting, too.
I had never heard of stromatolites and was going to comment that I believe cyanobacteria is accepted as the first life. I looked it up and interestingly stromatolites secrete cyanobacteria. I consume 3.5G of cyanobacteria everyday and cannot recommend it enough (the smell is horrific at first but now I actually like it)
Edit: who ever asked and deleted, it is one of the most nutrient dense foods available (high in protein and minerals). The protein is very unusual in that it is more similar to animal derived protein than plant protein. Ultimately I I started bc the reputation and continued consuming it because of antidotal benefits to my digestion (which I had some real issues with from a lifetime of poor diet). But the stuff nutritionally really is amazing and being tested for future missions to the moon and Mars.
I don’t often recommend specific products, but I feel comfortable recommending zhou nutrition spirulina. Again I can not stress the smell, but the taste isn’t bad and it will be impossible to fathom but you grow accustomed to the smell.
Other notes, it stains terribly (the powder as well as after being mixed with water), so I suggest using a mason jar with a few ounces of water (put lid on and shake) so it’s like a shot and do it all over the sink.
They make tablets you can get at Whole Foods and it’s very appealing (no smell no mess) instead of the powder, but don’t get sucked in, they are like a watered down version of the powder.
Haha I would like to claim it was a fun play on words or pun, but it’s a misspelling. But I do have some UC/Chron’s type symptoms and found it to be extremely helpful, even more so than long term intermittent fasting, weekly 2-3 days fasts and a 1 time 5 day fast.
Im surprised a giant turtle in a well known location of a major empire, were able to grow old enough for the list, but the giant Galapago turtles, which were unknown to the world for the longest time, did not.
Also, it appears that a few of the trees from the Cedars of Gods forest (lebanon) should have made the cut.
It's not the most visually impressive, but seeing King Clone (a ~12kiloyear creosote bush -- none of the original plant still exists, but the ring is a clonal descendent thereof) is a pretty easy side trip from Joshua Tree or on the way back from Death Valley: https://mojaveproject.org/dispatches-item/king-clone-creosot...

One follow up I might add is how might one acquire such food? Is it even commercially available or do you have to grow it at home yourself?
EDIT:
Nvm, found out via quick search that Spirulina is one type of cyanobacteria.

Is this a typo of ‘anecdotal’ or are you having it as an antidote to something?
