Ask HN: What was your Covid recovery like?

There's a front-page article about how all COVID news is bad news, so thought I'd ask for some good-ish COVID news. What was your recovery like if you were infected?

In my case my wife went in to see she could get vaccinated (there were some health centers vaccinating people under the age of 45), but they turned her away after waiting in a crowded line. She very likely got COVID there. She was sick a few days later, for about two days with a slight fever and body pain. We didn't think it was COVID, because we'd been super-careful, always masked, no conversations indoors, etc. This felt like a common infection as well, no out-of-the ordinary indicators. As per usual, I got the infection from her, and spent a weekend in bed. Then she complained that she couldn't smell. This freaked us out, so we got tested immediately. While waiting for the results I realised I couldn't smell anything either. Wife's test showed negative while I showed positive. Looks like her infection had already run its course.

Our 4-yo then wound up with a fever which then went away overnight. Wife can smell again now, and I'm slowly getting back my sense of smell. Taste is fine.

This was all two weeks ago. I know that a lot of us have lost people we care about, but it would be nice to have a few recovery stories as well, to balance out the obituaries.
