The U.S. military is not "taking UFOs seriously". UAP videos circulating in media are not interest to military. There is one crazy congressman and one ex-fighter pilot who is cashing out.
Elaborate tic-tac guerilla marketing?
>Why do leading scientists show such a profound lack of curiosity in a subject that might redefine not just their fields, but also all of science? It could lead to a new understanding of our place in the universe, and new advances in materials science, biology, quantum physics, cosmology and social sciences.

Scientists are aware of how well founded our current understanding of physics, relativity, etc. are, and that nothing presented so far is compelling enough as "evidence" of fundamentally new physics or extraterrestrial phenonema.

It may take nothing more than pixels on a youtube video and hearsay to convince the author that aliens are visiting Earth and Einstein was wrong about everything, but luckily for the rest of us the bar for actual scientific inquiry is higher. It's not a "profound lack of curiosity," either, it's simply having a standard of evidence beyond what's accepted by the mainstream.
