My understanding is that the autopilot only work on some streets, which I assume is of the safer kind.

So, do they state that Tesla is 10x safer on safe streets than cars on unsafe streets?

Safer than old cars, they compared with all cars including Teslas with and without autopilot. Assuming with autopilot engaged reckless driving is severely reduced and the small number of Tesla's on the road, it is not that impressive at all.

Teslas crashes are more lethal, which is expected considering all supporting structures are filled with lithium batteries.

They count accidents, which includes every little fender bender, on crashes with severe injury Tesla is closer to old cars. There is no EV in top 50 survivability cars at the moment.

So good news, you have less parking accidents with a Tesla and avoid some other stupid ones, but when you crash hard you will burn to death.

It is a good deal.
