Given the hype in Bitcoin and NFTs, it's easy to think that crypto currencies are a bubble. That's probably mostly true. But a few of these technologies are genuinely changing the game. This article explores the capital investment principles we can use to see past the hype to find real value.
The most successful crypto you haven't heard of is Tether. It has a daily volume of 3-4x of bitcoin. I'm not even sure what so much volume is being used for.
Hmmm, that is interesting. I wonder how that breaks down when you look at dollars per distinct user. For example, is this because there are comparatively more "whales" transacting on tether than on Bitcoin? There is also always the question of what is our measure of success. If it's to have widespread adoption some day, for example, then one may be interested in seeing high usership rates, or number of merchants who accept the currency.
