>We respect our developer's need to be individuals, and their open source code contributed under a personal ID represents them and their resume. This was a one off disagreement that should not have gone public as there are internal guidelines to resolve it.
As I've been following this, it really seems like it was just power-tripping work drama that spilled over onto the internet. Dev #1 oversteps their bounds a bit and sends a power-trip email to dev #2 asserting their dominance, dev #2 posts that email for the world to see to call attention to it.
Is it me? As far as I can read nothing is said really, only some vague communication director mumble that they value their employees output to open source projects. What is said and what is showed, is not only in this case miles apart, but often is with a lot of big companies.
