Year old Seed Investor Wants Dividends – Will I still be able to raise VC?

1 points by entrepooneur ↗ HN
My mentor is a 75 years old successful entrepreneur in the food and beverage industry. Him and his business partner want to provide me with some seed money to grow.

The only issue is they want a quarterly dividend.

My margins are high enough to pull it off while still growing fast (It costs us $30 to acquire a customer and with weekly recurring revenue each customer is profitable after 4 weeks).

Would this arrangement ever prevent me from raising money from a VC?

Title was supposed to be 75 year old seed investor
Your would-be investor is too risk-averse to be investing in startups (assuming your company is a startup).
