When I look at something metallic pink (like an old ipod) or intense pink (like some flowers), I see a darker indigo halo around part of the edge. Pretty much exactly as you illustrate, but only affecting that one colour.
I just figured it was something related to astigmatism. It never occurred to me there might be a name for it.

No, and for the same reason shown on the web page. Without a sharp edge, any "halo" is obscured in all the blur. So it probably does, but there isn't really a way for me to differentiate it.
