The Guardian is a propaganda outlet for a cult of victimhood and racism. This might as well be an article about body thetans written by a Scientologist, presented as a matter of fact rather than religious dogma.

The Guardian is a propaganda outlet for a cult of victimhood and racism.
It's not just a great article; it also represents a less antagonistic form of left-wing thought than much of what is out there today. The crux of the article is that 'race' is in the eye of the beholder. It's worth reading again with a more open mind.
The article is full of direct quotes from primary sources at many points throughout history, and actually makes some very illuminating points about the origins of racism, namely that slavery helped create racism because it was (and is) more profitable than other less effective means of dividing up the human race into more of easily dominated subgroups. This is an article about how humans have been convinced to turn against each other over table scraps, and the immense misery that has resulted. Maybe you are more invested in maintaining those divisions than in trying to understand their origins. Maybe you're just another worthless illiterate, desperate to feel superior to someone. But I don't really have enough evidence to make such claims. The article is chock full, however.

That's like debunking alchemy, then claiming you've disproven chemistry. Do those primary sources prove that Europeans are not, on average, more closely related to other Europeans, than to other peoples? Do they make clusters on genetic distance maps [1,2] go away?

Read the article if you're confused about what's in it, which you clearly are.
Please don't post ideological battle comments to HN. They're tedious and lead to ideological flamewars, which are super tedious.
