Civil disagreement is possible. Debate between people who disagree, with passion and with civility, is one of the joys of existence. Better than sex and more accepted in public, many find.

Just like sex, when it goes bad it goes very bad.

Note: I say nothing against kinks and meta-"bad" acting where appropriate, I love a good flaming rant just like a donkey show. Consent and lack of harm are the guides there.

I'd like to see policy suggestions for preventing "an endless battle royale of cable news level debate among coworkers in a Slack all day long."
