Can someone explain the significance of this, for those who don't know how Uber Eats works?

My understanding is that by paying $10/month for Eats Pass, you get free delivery on orders of $15 or more. What this is showing is that if order total == $15.00, then Eats will subtract a penny from the total, forcing you to get another item in order to get the free delivery.
Isn't that tantamount to making the minimum $15.01? What's the point?
While it's functionally the same as making the minimum $15.01, in practice even the least expensive thing on the menu will likely push you at least a few dollars over the "minimum".
well you could make the same argument for $14.99 vs $15. Regardless, have not been able to replicate this.
Can anyone else confirm this? A search for 'uber eats "price adjustment"' doesn't turn up anything similar to this, only stories resturants adjusting the amount after an order (the screenshot in the post suggests the order hasn't been placed).
I looked through the comments and it's very probable this is fake: OP has an exact 1c credit, or something else is going on, and this isn't usual.

And off-topic, it's a shame because this happens pretty often on Reddit where there is some misleading post and it takes a few comments down to clarify.

Well, proper procedure here would be to flag the post then. Thanks for clarifying on this clickbait.
