This seems like a fun, educational project, yet I am surprised to see this on the front page of HN given that the article is - at its core - promotional material for Twilio and was submitted by “Director of Developer Content @ Twilio”. We surely do not need Twilio or Airtable to send data to displays/monitors/screens.
I was fine with that, until the moment I realized that the video showing the end product described in that short article was hosted on a social network reserving access to users.
Too bad. Oh well.
This is really cool! Are there positions at companies like Twilio to make these cool projects showcasing their technology? Like an in-house creative technologist?
That seems like a cool job and one I would love to work towards.
