As someone who works for Verizon Media, this doesn't surprise me. I'd be curious to see how it's broken apart. Most of the deadweight was already jettisoned (Tumblr/HuffPo), so most of what's left actually makes money.

Lots of good engineering teams here. Hope all the tech isn't just tossed.
