It depends what they are talking about? If they are talking about stocks, it could be to make money in the market. The market is very emotional.

Consider cases such as: Feedback, Suggestion, Customer Review, Stock Analysis, etc. Cases where companies opens up a form for submissions.

Depends. Companies with stronger financial tend to less affected to sentiment. But to beat the market, sentiment is the key that makes the difference in the equation.
