Ask HN: Can we finally get the following features in HN for an UX modern

1. Please make a click either optional in profile settings to open in new tab/window.

2. Make replies in-line.

I am tired after a decade of excuses of "you can just XYZ" - NO - the UX is LAME. make the FN link open to a new tab/window. Period.

2. Replies are FN broken. Even after submitting a reply, it doesnt return me to the same spot.

FFS - You're behind reddit. Just accept certain aspects of their UX that are actually pleasing, and in-line with dense information consumption.

Its been several years since I asked this.

Get off the darn BOFH/RTFM bucket and update some shit.

If you want a link to open in a new window, just middle click it.

I don't _think_ HN was ever supposed to be a competitor to reddit, was it? AFAIK this is not a product that YC is earning money from (through via ads or elsewhere).
