I miss the days of buying hardware and that being my entire contribution to the company. Now everything is subsidized to extract money in other ways.
I love the simplicity of my Rokus but I don't see their business model succeeding long term when several actual content producers have their own equivalent devices they can subsidize without a middle-man.
Is nVidia shield the last of the unsubsidized streaming hardware?
