In addition to what gtirloni said ..... Dan G (hn@ycombinator.com) is a reasonable fellow that is always happy to answer these eternal 'Why doesn't HN do xyz' type questions.
I would suggest that going that route is better than polluting the HN submission queue with these and similar ‘Eternal September’ ask HN type postings.
