Has anyone calculated the number of deaths that will be caused by kids playing outside instead of spending their time on TikTok? I'm willing to bet that purely in terms of accident hazard TikTok has always been safer than hanging out with friends.
Are you aware of the deaths by suicide of several kids caused by some stupid game they were playing on tiktok?
I don’t link any because there are so many you can do your own research
I am aware of one accidental hanging. My point is that children do stupid shit all the time. Just from my personal experience I once let my friends wrap me in a wet towel so that I wouldn't be able to move and overload a trampoline with me on it so that it would send me flying. I rotated twice and landed almost vertically upside-down head on concrete but luckily in a way that most of the energy was absorbed by my shoulder/along the whole body. In another instance, different city, different kids, I was locked with other friends in a disused industrial freezer made of what looked like polyurethane. I was there 'negotiating' with a group of 'thugs' who were terrorizing the neighbourhood kids with airsoft guns. At one point they quickly escaped the freezer with one of them left inside with us. Their leader then took a lighter and threatened to set us on fire, holding the lit lighter against the polyurethane. Luckily they couldn't figure out how to lock the door. Next day when I visited the place the only residue of the freezer was a pile of ashes and char on the building next to it. I could probably think of more similar experiences and many more of my friends and family. Don't get me wrong, I have no horse in this race; I'm just saying that what happens on TikTok has to be compared against a baseline of what kids would do otherwise.
