So the context appears to be that he was dismissing other women in the bay area in favor of the woman he was dating. Not an uncommon thing, but let's just say pretty much every other author I've read so far - man or woman - has done so more tastefully. And that isn't hard: There's a long list of established phrases along the lines of "others paled in comparison" that bring the same point across.
Now I can't decide who is dumber. The people who are - I must assume for their benefit - unintentionally presenting that quote out of context trying to get the guy fired[1], or the guy who'd publish an autobiography containing such a poor choice of words.

Getting fired for a poor choice of words in a book that has no direct relation to your job. I would say "what a time to be alive", but It seems much more prevalent in the US/UK, I hope it gets contained there.

Write that half the population is “full of shit” and joke about trading them for resources and discover that you’ve ruined your career. Not going to find a lot of sympathy from me.

He made fun of white people being sheltered and they boot him from a company for racism. It was provocative humor, no doubt. But yes, I agree it stops being funny if you confirm these jokes to the letter. His coworkers should be ashamed of themselves.
