Ask HN: Seeking a (non-technical) cofounder to improve knowledge sharing

2 points by mintone ↗ HN
I'm technical - I've built the application, but I don't have the capacity or existing skill to get the product to market as quickly as we need to.

What's the big idea?

There's a whole lot of content out there - more than we can consume. There's a lot of bad content too. It clogs up google and makes it harder to learn about what you want. What if: a) valuable content was available in any format - a video can be text can be a set of cliff notes can be audio.. the end-consumer decides how they want to consume it and b) searching for knowledge returned the specific parts of content that you want to know about, not (for example) a video that could or could not include what you want to know. I'm not looking to reinvent Google - I am trying to build the next layer of search that Google doesn't (and can't) do well that returns valuable knowledge over generic search results.

Who am I looking for?

I need someone non-technical who is comfortable with and has experience of sales. Building this out will start with businesses that are sharing their knowledge and having a network of people that you can show the value of this platform to is vital. I'm looking for a US based partner ideally. If you have another job or need financial support immediately, this isn't for you. My work ethic is intense and the pace is high - you need to be able to match that. If you have a sales or marketing background and ability to consistently execute then this could be a good fit.

My email is in my profile - if you are interested (or know someone who might be) email me telling me a little about you.
