Those poor smut-peddlers. Won't someone please think of the pornographers.
Why can't journalists SHUT UP.

"It’s striking that eBay feels the need to police sexual content when a number of questionable products—such as Nazi SS uniforms and anti-vax t-shirts—remain on the site."

I don't know, but this sentence just pisses me off. What's the point of that quip?

Can we be real for a minute here? Please?

I've been around the internet controversy block a few times over as many decades, and I really feel like there's a missing piece of the puzzle after reading the article. In particular, I'm only aware of three fundamental reasons for a major web platform to enact such a broad ban on lewdness:

1) Payment processors don't like it

2) Advertisers don't like it

3) Some government with jurisdiction over a desired market doesn't like it

Yet none of these are mentioned in the article. There are just some laughable platitudes about "safety". Just to be abundantly clear, we're talking about a ban that was obviously very carefully crafted to cover female but not male pokies. I think its safe to say that this is not based on some high-minded principle. So can anyone seriously explain what the hell is going on?

hmm, I wish eBay was more like craigslist. I look forward to the day I stop using eBay once and for all. It's just a mess with sellers having to accept the stupidest returns. It's eBay terms up and down.
