Just received this email from them:

June 1, 2021: quotas and limitations As a C1 instance customer, you will be allowed to keep all your current C1 instances running, and may create one more new C1 instance. You will be allowed to start, stop and backup C1 instances, for you to evaluate possible migration scenarios.

From June 1, Scaleway Elements customers that do not already have C1 instances will not be able to create new ones.

July 1, 2021: end of support July 1, 2021 will mark the end of support for C1, meaning no more patches, updates or interventions on software or hardware will be provided. You will not be able to open new support tickets for C1 instances either.

August 1, 2021: instance creation freeze Scaleway Elements users will no longer be able to create C1 instances. As a C1 instance customer, your current instances will keep running, however in case of an instance stopping (planned or unplanned), you will not be able to restart the instance.

September 1, 2021: end of life Flexible & dynamic public IPs will be detached from C1 instances to force a service interruption as a final warning. You will have 24 hours to migrate your instances. Be warned that flexible IPs will still be charged if you do not delete them.

Funny enough, what they recommend as alternative in that email costs 10x as much.
Any ARM providers close to the Scaleway's pricing?
It was recently on HN that Oracle would offer a free tier for ARM without time limit. Haven't checked it out yet.
Bloody annoying because I specifically asked about C1 lifetimes in December and was told they had no plans to cut them off. Now I've got 2 months to migrate off. Shambles.

Haha, I had a ticket open for about 2 years. They escalated it several times, but never worked on it. After this announcement they were very quick to close it. Not that I would have expected them to solve it before July 1st or therafter...

Well, you get what you pay for. They were very cheap and the machine was pretty reliable while it lasted.
