Ask HN: Why is there no asterisk on edited HN comments/posts?

An indication would be useful, most platforms use (*) in order to indicate an edit. This solves the issue with (parent) context changes considering that comment edit history won't be implemented (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=744171) Thanks.
