Twitch: We’ll have tags related to gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality

This seems insane to me, and something that would reduce the interaction between different people rather than making it more common.

But it seems people have been asking for it!

Apparently some people want to find "people like me" and the platform did not somehow permit this.

It feels weird to me but I think this is probably not purely virtue signaling, and might be helpful to some.

unfortunately, every platform is abused by bots to harass people for [insert agenda here]

so i dont really see how making that easier, unless they also create some honey pots and ban thrse automated harassers among others.

We stray further from MLK's dream every day.

Do you sincerely think this? Because tags on a website have literally nothing to do with what MLK said about dreaming of a non-racist world.
