Awesome build!

I built a (terribly hacky) pedal to have a push-to-talk system on my laptop [0]. I use it surprisingly often in meetings to not bother other people with the sound of my mechanical keyboard when making notes.

I tried it as a vim clutch, but the muscle memory is too strong (and too fast)

I like that you had it working in another application as well. I was thinking it might be cool to figure out some kind of web interface for configuring or swapping controls for different applications.
As a joke I added paren pedals to a lisp machine decades ago. It really was inconvenient to use and despite a bit of effort to get used to it I easily abandoned it.
OP here, thanks for reaching. It's definitely something I'm not using religiously. It's a lot of fun, but not exactly practical. It depends on the code and on the development stage as well. Much more convenient when popping in and out of insert, but kind of uncomfortable when writing long swathes of content.

Hey megasquid :) Someone mentioned that it was an issue. Haven't had time to fix. I think it might be iPhone specific? Will try and take a look when I have a minute. There's also the GitHub writeup if you wanna take a look at that in the mean-time!
I have rudder pedals for flight simulators under my desk. Most of the time they just sit there not being used. This inspires me to find more uses for them. Since they offer analog inputs, maybe scrolling or volume control.
