Learn how to become a great tech leader for your remote development team with our new article.

Last week, the CEO of WeWork, Sandeep Mathrani, stated that employees who prefer working from home are those who are the least engaged with the company. Our experience proves otherwise.

Here are 10 tips for Mr. Mathrani (and anyone else who is uncomfortable with leading employees remotely) on how to be a great tech leader for their employees: https://bit.ly/2SwY46U

Yep, if he’s talking about his own employees then he’s failed to create the right environment. But then, WeWork is all about physical proximity, so maybe this was more of a marketing-based statement. Either way, I’m not impressed with it.

I’ve been leading a remote dev and support team on high-stakes work for over 20 years. Trust is definitely #1, and the rest of your list is solid too. Reality-based and outcome-focused are also crucial; nothing inspires loafing like make-work. Will look into the emoji thing ;)

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Yeah, I guess it was kind of a marketing-based statement, too.

So cool that someone with 20y of experience shares the view of our tips!

And yes, you should definitely try the emojis, it's a great way to clarify the "mood" :)
