Ask HN: Why is there no public response from Babel after all the accusations?

After the lengthy discussions at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27114718 I would expect the Babel team to explain more about what they're doing with the budget they already have and to reassure contributors that they're not wasting their money.

However with all accusations we're met with nothing but radio silence?

I'd bet Babel is already top 1% of OSS projects regarding funding?

Do they seriously expect to keep that or increase it if they can't be transparent with the existing funds?
