Ask HN: How do you backup images from iCloud

I have a few years worth of photos in my iCloud account. No problems, works fine, don't have an issue paying for it.

However, I'd like to have a local copy as well and for the life of me I can't figure out a good way of doing incremental backups to a NAS/other cloud storage.

Anyone solved this?

You can use desktop iCloud to get a local copy. From there I use Syncthing to a directory on my server that does incremental backups.
