I think mistakes are probably far more frequent with automated content automation, simply because our AI systems are not quite there yet.
Regardless, I vastly prefer automated content moderation. It's makes me feel better to know that I've been censored by an impersonal algorithm, rather than an opinionated basement-dweller with a chip on their shoulder.
There are still places on the web and out in the world where there is no content moderation. City graffiti districts are fine examples. Freedom of expression is an artform that dates back to the days when we drew cave paintings, and it should be preserved.
