this was one of the best xmas gifts ever given, i didnt even have to ask, somehow parents knew about it. just a couple years previous all the rage was BigTrak [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Trak]; but having a Hero took you from nerd to ubergeek, i remember an R2D2 shell being available from an ad in Computers and Electronics magazine.
