Give me a break. That is ridiculous and unbelievable. The entire point of Grooveshark was music piracy (something else this guy absurdly denies, putting his credibility at 0), and now he's gonna tell us that the giant pirate flag had nothing to do with that?
If I were him, maybe I'd say the same thing to cover my ass. But this is about as obvious of a self-serving lie as any I've ever seen.
Iirc, they wanted to make a "YouTube for music". It's unfortunate it didn't work out for them, because a lot of the same piracy problems were present on YouTube.
