Ask HN: Best STEM education you can get through 10 video games only?

Imagine you must give yourself the best STEM education possible using only 10 video games (and their associated manuals, FAQs, online tutorials and forums, etc)

What games would you choose?

Kerbal Space Program is the single best thing there is for teaching someone to understand the concepts of orbital mechanics. There are some steep learning curves. However, once you figure out how to do something it becomes a piece of cake.

I don't know of any other games/simulators that do such a good job of conveying understanding.

When I was in school I enjoyed the “games” bundled with the “Language, Proof, and Logic” textbook (like Tarski’s World). But these are definitely more in the edutainment category than the entertainment category.

More on the entertainment side of things, for learning programming through a game I might choose TIS-100 (or Human Resource Machine).
