Ask HN: Do you install antivirus software on servers?

I'm curious what everyone else thinks. With a few exceptions (file servers, servers where user uploads happen), I do not see the point of running one. I must clearly be missing something.

Yes, why not? It's in the base image for all Windows machines.

I think you got it wrong. He meant servers, not Windows machines.
