Universities Have Formed a Company That Looks a Lot Like a Patent Troll (eff.org)

In Germany Fraunhofer (publically funded research institute), who is best know for their MP3 patent, also is engaged in many dubious patent pools with aggressive third parties. Generally I would support the idea of creating pools among universities and research institution if they establish strong underlying ethical principles. Otherwise those patents just go to other trolls... (The few patents I created are also imho mostly useful as counting patents or for trolling like so many CS related patents)
