Great news for the team behind one of my very favorite iPhone apps.

But--

I hope the word "current" in this sentence isn't doing as much work as my cynicism leads me to believe.

I've been using DayOne for years and It's one of the apps that I happily subscribe to. I've had a great time kicking the tires on the sqlite db behind it and the interface of the app is beautiful. I hope to see more great things!

This is very worrying because I’m so locked into the app. Tumblr/WP integration is the last thing I’d like to see in a private journal.

Just have to hope that Day One flies under the radar and they don’t try to squeeze every last penny from their vulnerable customers.

The model of Day One seems more like Simplenote, which has been acquired by Automattic for quite a while, and not integrated to WP/Tumblr.
