But Texas is a utopia of free market thinking where gov’t is always the problem and the market will fix itself. In the meantime, have you heard of CRT in the classroom, or the War on Christmas?
The USA was founded on distrust of powerful governments. That continues to today, and is more obvious in right leaning areas, like Texas.
And what do you mean by 'central government' in Europe? One of the national governments (Germany, France, etc.) or the EU? Because the central government in the US (federal level) would have power similar to the EU than any of the smaller national governments.
Texas politician proposes unironically that everyone should pray for electricity to come back up. They pray that power comes back on, and it eventually does. Prayers are answered every time. Praise the Lord.
