Ask HN: How to tell whether an iPhone is hacked?

This is not my domain and I just can't find technical articles on the subject from google searches. Most results point to useless articles with generic titles such as "6 way to tell your iPhone is hacked". I am sure many of us will benefit from this post.

Which resources or forums should one consult?

Is there a way to find out using XCode?
