Show HN: To learn Music Theory, I built a Chord Detector App (apps.apple.com) 6 points by v_b 5y ago ↗ HN
[–] v_b 5y ago ↗ Figured out that Chord detection is not that simple as Tone detection, because one Chord are multiple tones. So decided to learn more about Music Theorie and how such a task can be reached.Created a Flashcard similar App to learn Chords.Just select the chords you want to learn, the app starts listening and random choose other chords.Any feedback is welcome
[–] ClanOfNihil 5y ago ↗ Finally someone came up with he idea of detecting chords. Well done. [–] v_b 5y ago ↗ The idea is not new but it is not that simple. A tone can be mapped to a frequency, this is basically what Tuner Apps are doing.A Chord is built up by multiple Tones. There are a lot of techniques - some do it well others fail. [–] IndySun 5y ago ↗ So dry.
