BBC is a racist organization. (I am not white).

Not a lawyer but I fail to see how this is positive action. This is specifically treating a group of people worse than the others based on their race/ethnicity, which is explicitly unlawful and the whole point of the Equality Act.

The outright ban of applicants of a specific ethnic background does not seem to be the same as "enabling or encourage people who share a protected characteristic to overcome a disadvantage connected to the characteristic" to me [1]

On the face of it this is plain racial discrimination on the pretext of fighting racial discrimination, which is bonkers on top of being likely unlawful.

This should really go to court.
