Submitting this as an example why "Cool URLs don't change" is actually important. Breaking the bulk of their links in a year when they're needed the most seems like such an obvious no-no, but apparently that old rule hasn't made it far outside the tech bubble... :(

I stumbled upon this coming from a search engine, looking for information about vaccination. Would have been good if that would've still been there...

I think this is more than sufficiently explained by "that fancy new design" being more important "that weird nerd soapbox of what makes URLs cool or not".
