All that traditional literature that Disney has 'adapted' is no longer anything like the original stories. People grow up on Disney and discover that the story they believe is accurate is completely different when (if?) they manage to read or see the originals.
Even classical music has been bastardised. Watch 'Fantasia' and your appreciation of those works will be ruined as 'dancing pink hippos' intrude into your mind.
SW pivoting away from Movies to TV is a really good move in my opinion. The last 5 movies were fine. But on the TV has been great. Clone Wars, Rebels, Mandalorian have told the stories that have let me escape to the far far away galaxy.
