IMHO they're facing some kind of outage. When I open reddit, it is waiting long seconds, then it is loaded quickly. Navigating on the site is as usual.
Down for me. IIRC since the new website comes up the rate has been increasing.
Is it just me or has Reddit been down much more frequently than any other social media?
I'd call it a forum more than social media, the focus is on a topic rather than individuals. But when it comes to outages nothing beats Twitter. I'm not really a Twitter user, but when I click a link from elsewhere there's a >50% chance I'll get "we're having trouble loading this tweet".
Reddit started having a serious number of outages when they started rolling out their API-driven SPA-style frontend. Back when everything was server rendered it seemed far more reliable.
Down for me
It is for me in Australia, but there was a delay of about 15 seconds in loading, instead of immediate. 08:18 AEST
