I experienced this, it was definitely done out of jealousy. It is important to find a new place of business and report them
Glad that I'm not the only one suffering from this. I still suffer from this when applying.
> "Evidence shows that companies who fail to reward or acknowledge their employees for hard work, impose unreasonable demands on workers, and do not give them autonomy, are placing their staff at a much greater risk of depression," says Dr Zadow.

As someone with pre-existing depression and anxiety problems, this is exactly the situation I'm in.

The devious thing is that these mental health issues also trap you in your job. I am afraid of interviews, I feel inadequate with my skill set, I worry about having to adjust to new people, I worry about my actual ability to work due to brainfog and anxiety blocking my thoughts.

So I feel like getting paid less and having a bad work environment is just the price I have to pay for not being competitive compared to all the young leetcode specialists who are able to show a very motivated and engaged surface.

I'm starting to wonder to what degree my boss is actually aware of all this and is reinforcing my fear intentionally in order to keep me from asking for higher raises or working less.
