What problem did TikTok solve? There was enough throwaway nonsense entertainment prior.
If I had to come up with an underhanded way to analyze or weaken another population's mental constitution it would definitely be via distractions like TikTok.
You can observe and control what users see and by extension think or how they react without accountability.
American-bred social media does this for (presumably mainly) monetary gains; with TikTok I'm not so sure...
